Longmont Potion Castle

I think he’s really high when he does the phone calls, or so I hear.

I listened to John Denver when I was young. They just played Rocky Mtn. HIgh on 105.5. Tasty.

I often get a sort of a “high” feeling when confronted by some of nature’s more amazing sights. It has happened a lot here, the big sky, the escarpment, the flood plains, cyclones. I am terrible at listening to lyrics though so maybe he was talking about an entirely different sort of high. No matter, I’ve always liked his sound, pure clear voice. I still have some of his stuff in iTunes and it pops up now and again. Is that what you meant???

It’s a great song no doubt and another big favorite of mine by John Denver is “Sunshine On My Shoulders”.

We’re talking about John Denver songs right?

I saw John Denver live in Perth, Western Australia a few years back, great show, nice and laid back.
I seem to recall him hooning about on a Harley in ours hills and getting busted for smoking a bit of the old tea leaf… naughty boy…
Yes I still listen to his music, nothing wrong with a bit of John Denver…

Beautiful voice, and a damn good songwriter, too. Gone too soon.

A Colorado Rocky Mountain High is a real thing. I spent some of the best years of my life living in the mountains of Colorado and I can assure you there is a high that you get from living there. hard to explain, really. Some believe that the lower levels of oxygen contribute to it. Others, like me, believe that you can’t help but feel high when you look at the Flat Irons, or travel to Red Rocks. Or walking the once deserted streets of old Leadville. Drive through Berthoud. Camp outside Nederlands. why did I leave?

It reminds me of being a young 70s-raised kid. Toughskins, ice cream, my parents, and the back yard.
