My sister just moved to town and needs to park her UHAUL trailer somewhere for the night. I got a ticket when I parked a UHAUL truck overnight on a residential street. Does the same apply to UHAUL trailers?

Folks in the moving industry consider Brooklyn the bane of their work, as it is difficult to get moving trucks in and out of most areas, much less to park them.
While I couldn’t find a definitive answer to your question, I did find out where you can find out. Drop the NYC Transportation Dept. a line.
No commercial trucks or trailers for that matter are permitted to park overnight on a NY city street. Brooklyn, like Manhattan, is a traffic cops playground. I would go so far to say that not only will u b ticketed, but most likely it would be towed also. After fines and fees your looking at about $200 – $300.
guess she got lucky. She parked it overnight in 3rd place at Clinton, still attached to the truck, and didn’t get ticketed. Don’t ask me how she found a space big enough for the truck AND trailer!
