I personally don’t think they belong in a bedroom.

I pretty much live in my basement bedroom.
From the chair I am sitting in I can touch my iMac, Tv, and bed. If I am in the house I am in here unless I am cooking or using the restroom.
No. I have never wanted one there. I am not sure why.
I do. I don’t see anything wrong with it. By having a TV in my room, I can watch TV alone, in the peace and quite of my bedroom, where I can’t be disturbed…peace and quiet in my house is a rare occasion. Besides, I do pretty much everyhing in my room for the same reason that I have a TV there.
yea but its like 12 inches and its not hooked up to anything and it only has a built in VCR…..wait, why do i keep this thing?
Yes and we like watching the news while we are getting ready in the morning and an occasional movie now and then in the evening.
I do. It makes me feel like the king of everything.
I do, but I rarely watch it. Doesn’t have cable or anything, but it’s convenient if I want to watch a movie by myself when I have nothing else to do.
@flyawayxxballoon I’m with you on this. With 2 teenage boys, a 5 year old girl, and a husband that likes to play XBOX360 with the boys, I never get the tv in the living room. My bedroom is the only place for me to escape from it all. I must watch my cooking shows.
and where else are we going to watch the porn? ;)
Fuck no. I have a hard enough time trying to keep the sound of the tv downstairs out of my bedroom.
We do, but I won’t let my kids have one in their rooms. I know I shouldn’t have one in my room because I swear it encourages me to stay awake.
My roommate does, but I don’t, and I never use his. Unless I’m playing video games with him. Anytime I watch anything, I do it on my laptop.
I do because I have been confined to bed for periods of time. It has a sleep timer on it so sometimes I set it for 30 min and it goes off after I am asleep.
I also watch the 6am local news while I am getting ready for work for weather, traffic etc.
@galileogirl The first thing that I do in the morning is turn on the local news myself. I’m a big news junkie
We do. Sometimes we want to watch a show that’s inappropriate for the kids or just be warm in bed. But it’s rarely on. The nice TV is downstairs in the family room.
Yes I have a TV in my room. Its the oldest TV in my house by far (like 10 years old!) I plan to buy a nice LCD flat screen or whtever the nice new TVs are called. Then Im going to put it on a wall mount on my wall. Im pretty excited to get it.
Nope. I don’t like TVs in the bedroom, personally. If you wanna watch porn that badly, send the kids to bed. ;o)
What would be the point? I rarely watch TV.
Yes. My kids have them in their rooms too but I don’t let them have cable. They are basically for their game systems and watching DVDs.
@jonsblond – My comment was only a joke, too. :o)
Sorry if it came out the wrong way.
Nope.
A very wise, little Jewish lady I knew once said, “Only two things should happen in your bed. Sleep and sex.”
Yes. If I had my home theater setup in the living room, my boy roomie would try to bogart it all the time.
@amanderveen It’s all good. I’ve had little sleep the past few nights, damn fluther! and I tend to take things personally at times. bad habit :)
@elijahsuicide My kids have one in their room too, no cable, just for games. My son is the local Guitar Hero god. If they didn’t get such good grades in school, it would be a different story.
I fought the good fight on TV in the master bedroom for a long time. Both husbands won, and we got them. Ah, well. My 14 year old (flyawayxxballoon up there ^^) got one for her birthday, too, so she could have a little alone time away from little sisters.
I did when I was a kid and spent a lot of time in my bedroom. Now as an adult, I don’t even have what most people would call a TV (as in, the ability to watch live television shows on my television unit), and I love it.
Yes, but it’s an ancient 13” with a built in VCR. I hardly ever use it, but it lives in there because there’s nowhere else to put it.
I’m in a dorm, so it’s more of an everything room.
Ugh. As if TV doesn’t make life boring and anti-social enough, people are really putting them in the most intimate and entertaining room in the house? I won’t even have one in the house, let alone in my sanctuary.
