That’s funny—I grew up in Rockland! I don’t live there now and I am not sure what is going one, but you can check the Rockland Journal News for event listings. Here are some of my ideas: Go up to Bear Mountain. Stroll around Nyack or Piermont’s artsy downtowns. Visit Monsey, if you are curious about Hasidic Jews. Visit my parents (ha ha).

Whatever you do, wear layers, boots and bring raingear. The weather slightly further N is -for a change – snowy and in the 20s. This weekend everything will melt.
