For instance, I have learned to never run across an icy street with my hands in my pockets. You can’t break your fall (and she did break her nose). Now, I never put my hands in my pockets when I am outside on icy days.

My friend/co-worker taught me why doing heroin is bad. To bad he had to fuck up his life for me to learn that lesson.
My co-workers have taught me the importance of being articulate and educated.
My friend taught me that you can queef while standing on your head.
A friend and co-worker told me that whenever you find yourself in a seemingly impossible or uncomfortable situation, don’t always look for the easy way out because you could certainly regret it later. Take the extra time needed to examine several possibilities to solve your problem(s) and use good judgement as opposed to unnecessary and unwise haste.
A friend told me to take constant notes at every business meeting- that artistic types often would forget important details. She was right. It has saved my a$$ on numerous occasions.
When I scoot across the office to give some paperwork to poof, it’s easier to get back to my cube if I turn my chair around and scoot backwards!! wheee!!! She just taught me that today!!
Way back in the day, when I was working as an aide while in nursing school, I learned from an older aide to tuck in a patient as I would my grandma.
I think of her from time to time as I make my patients warm and comfy cozy.
I’ve been in the work-force, supporting a family, for going on 18 years now. The one thing I’ve learned is that grown men, together in a work environent, behave exactly like a bunch of eighth grade girls.
