After a hard days work what is the first thing you do when you get home?

Flop on my bed and turn on some It’s Always Sunny or Family Guy.

I worked graveyard for a summer. 11PM to 11AM. I got of the bus and went to the store for beer. Then I drank.

I do the same thing if I work normal hours too.

i, personally, read my mail. then i drink beer.

Change clothes by leaving a trail of work clothes leading to my bedroom; put on comfortable clothes, turn on some tunes and check my email.

Take off all my clothes. I like to be naked, and it just seems to give me some sort of seperation from my work day.

wash my hands, go to the bathroom, take out contact lenses and put on pajamas.

maybe grab a snack or some juice, change my clothes, go make dinner (for four).

I used to work from 5:30p-2a. The first thing I’d do when I got home was sit on my terrace for a few minutes to destress.

Always take my shoes off. Sometimes I’ll take everything off and shower right away.

Deal with mail, change to loose clothing, take meds, get a cold drink, become one with the recliner.

i don’t think school quite qualifies as ‘a hard days work’, but then again, i am in chemistry…
anyway, i get into pajamas. no kidding, i just feel completely uncomfortable if i’m in the house for more than 5 minutes and still in regular clothing – i’m usually shedding layers as i walk through the door.
my next step, if i’m coming home from school, is usually to take a 2 hour nap or so. i don’t tend to sleep at night, so i figure i should at least squeeze those 2 hours in. or i go online for an unreasonable amount of hours, or read.

put down my giant bag and take off my coat, take off my shoes and socks (there’s an odd trail of socks all around my apartment between the door and the bathroom) and put on pajamas. Which is laughable, since I wear pajama bottoms to work with t-shirts. I literally have “home pajamas” and “work pajamas”.

After that, usually it’s to eat something since it’s after 10pm and my last (and often only) meal was between noon and 4pm. Then sometimes I’ll play Warcraft and/or watch All My Children, and go to bed around midnight.

The first thing I do when I get home is say hello to my wife and kids then eat if it is ready. If I have to wait for dinner I read to my children.

@poofandmook: where’s this place that allows you to wear pajamas to work? I’m down!

@adri027 : my guess is he works at a hospital, and he’s talking about scrubs.

When I come home I usually read material for class and write papers… for class. It’s only more now that midterms have arrived. Yay! Anyway… if I could have my way I would sit and watch tv, sleep, or go hang out with my friends.

Its jammie time! Plus my boyfriend always has TBS on so whatever show is on when I get home…

I take off my shoes and clothes and change into my jammies. Then I clean up the morning dishes in the kitchen and feed the cats. Then I sit down and watch whatever I recorded the night before.

I work from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. and my routine rarely changes. Arrive home from work, shed my uniform, eat breakfast, check in with Fluther one last time, and then off to bed.

Yeah I thought it was somewhere along those lines. I just wanted to make sure you didn’t have some dope ass job where you sit on your ass and play video games or something.

Weeknights i remove the shoes, change into pj’s and run to the fridge for dinner then eat and watch some TV. Now if its a Friday night and i have something to do then I rush home, shower, change, eat fast and go out on the town whatever is goin on

Does nobody kiss there spouse?! My husband is home when I get there, so he always meets me at the door for a quick kiss hello. The I take off my workclothes, go the gym (or hop on the Wii Fit), then catch up on shows I may have missed during the week that I Tivo’d.

I sometimes come home, turn the T.V., and daydream about dropping everything I know and have in my possesion. Buying a motorcycle, a damn good pistol, and putting on my favorite pair of blue jeans. And just go, state to state working on cars, meeting people, and riding out the country. But I usually just drink some beers, talk with the roommates about their day, and shoot pool. (I couldn’t just drop my family and my woman like that, its just something to think about)

I have a welcoming committee waiting outside for me when I get home, Four dogs that are very happy to see me. I pet all of them. They all want to show me a few tricks they know and play fetch for a few. Then I feed them. I got to do all that before I even get in the door.

I change my clothes, kiss the kids and the hubby, then figure out the night. It’s like heaven when work is the end of the day, there’s usually some such running around to be done. My time starts at 9:00 P.M., that’s when I have a cocktail and get control of the remote…and when I get my sweet sweet lovin’.

I say hello to everyone and the grab a cold beer. This beer follows me down the hall to the bathroom. We then take a shower together.

if you’ve never had a cold beer in a hot shower then you are missing one of the essential, sublime pleasures of life

I’m usually home first.

Check my facebook, not gonna lie.

I chat with my roommate, check fluther, get something to eat, and get into bed.

If I’m not at school, if I’m at home, I flop on the couch, do my internets thing, and turn on the TV. I also start texting immediately.

Take off shoes, check the mail. tidy the kitchen, check e-mail, check fluther.

Kiss and hug my fur babies, kiss hubby. Then out of uniform and straight into a lovely warm shower and then into my fluffy jammies. Then have dinner and watch tv for a while, then off to bed. Thats it, not exciting but after a busy shift its heaven :-)
