Out of all five of your senses, if you had to give one of them up, which one would it be and why would choose that one?
I think for me it would be my sense of smell. My hearing, sight, touch, and taste are just too important to me.

Very tough choice. I don’t wanna.
If you insist, smell, but I’m not happy about it.
Already been asked.
Not that long ago.
From the main 5, it’d be smell for me. But if you were going to count up to the 11 senses wikipedia says we have, I’d go without pain.
@Damien: How about the ability to control pain? Living without pain is actually a medical condition, and well, it sucks.
@asmonet. Whoops. Didn’t know this question had been asked before. Since it has been asked previously, why didn’t it show up in the ‘siblings’ column on the right hand side of this page? Just wondering.
Most likely my ability to read minds, which is sensual in it’s own respect – it causes some serious stress at times though – oh right, of the five main senses… right… my sense of humour possibly, it’s not always very useful.
Taste, because then I would not over indulge in all the fatty foods that I love. It would make it easier to maintain a healthy life style. I could eat all the healthy foods that taste terrible.
I’m with lukiarobecheck. Take away my taste. If all foods tasted the same, I wouldn’t eat cake or ice cream but just healthy foods.
I would never want to lose ny sence of taste i love food.Or smell because tht goes hand in hand really. If i have to choose i think it would be my touch.
@Bluefreedom: Not sure, they only list five though, maybe it’s number six in line and got the shaft? :)
I would NEVER want to loose my sense of touch. Imagine what that would do to your sex life? The “Big O” would be a thing of the past.
(Come to think of it, it’s pretty much a thing of the past already!)
My sense of smell. I wouldn’t like it, but everything else is too important! :(
I have six senses at least. The one I’d give up is my gay-dar. I simply don’t care anymore.
I can always sense fake accessories too. That one I keep
I’d have to say smell, also. Obviously, I’d never want to lose my sight, & hearing would be the next in line. I couldn’t live without hearing music. It’s part of my soul.
@asmonet. I should have used the new and enhanced Fluther search because it found the other question and mine right away. I typed in ‘senses’ and it hit on both of them. I think I’ll use that in the future to prevent repeating questions. :o)
Sense of smell…definitely. It might actually be beneficial in some ways, so why not? Get the smell outta here!
