SPOILER ALERT: On the last episode of "Hell's Kitchen", did Chef Ramsey treat the 400 pound guy bad or what?

Why didn’t they ALL take the ferry down? Why didn’t they wait for him? Over the line??

It did seem as if Ramsey was rubbing his nose in it a little. They could have at least timed the helicopter ride to arrive the same time as the ferry, but Ramsey’s a busy guy I guess.
