Would you stand along the presidential motorcade route?

Depends on the weather and if I have anything better to do. I would def go if I could hear a speech, but just to watch his car roll past, meh.

I’m in Chicago. I wouldn’t go out of my way to do it. When he was president elect, my bus route got blocked every afternoon on his way home from work. That should count.

I should note that I wouldn’t go too far out of my way to do it though… if he were driving down my street, or a few streets over, I think I might call a friend and stand out there with him and take a picture as he passed.

We drove 100 miles and stood in scorching heat for 5 hours this summer, waiting for Obama to make a campaign appearance in northern New Mexico, only to learn upon our return that he had stopped by a restaurant in our small town for lunch.

No, I wouldn’t. Gawpers of motorcades irritate me when a president or some other grand high muckity-muck is in town, so I’d rather not add to the chaos. I’ll go to a scheduled stop, but I wouldn’t line up on the street.

I was just at the dentist and as we were getting out of the car, Air Force One flew right above us as it was about to land. I’ve got to admit, that was kind of neat.

I’d stand along side the motorcade if I were a Secret Service agent assigned to the presidential detail.
