How does it feel to get tattooed on the butt?
I’m getting a tribal design on my butt and was wondering if it would hurt more or much less than any other part on the body.

Tribal design? Are you maori? I’ve heard it’s not too bad. I have about 65% of my body covered (no ass) but have heard it’s not to be feared. Palm sucks; it’s basically unbearable.
Not too bad as long as you don’t sit on your butt for a day or so.
how close to the hole are you gonna go?
that might sting a little
Probably depends on how bony, or not, your butt is.
The cheek area doesn’t hurt from what I hear.
I can’t say from experience as I don’t have one there.
Why tribal? Is there some sort of cultural significance to you?
If you have a nice butt why not.
I have a tattoo right above my butt, like toward my left hip right on the underwear line. It doesn’t hurt bad at all. It was my first tattoo and I was surprised at how little it hurt.
I have a tattoo. They really only hurt when the needle’s going over a thinly muscled area of your body where there’s bone. Mine goes over a small portion of my spine and that’s the part the stung when I had it done. Gluteus maximus? It’ll be all right.
Choose something original, if the tattoo sucks it’s going to hurt for ever.
I have a feeling it tickles more than anything. That’s a very fatty area, and it’s used a lot..so I find areas like that to hurt the least.
I plan on getting a tattoo on my butt eventually. But, I want to finish having children, so it’s not all ridiculous looking when I gain and lose weight haha
I have a large tribal design that goes all over my lower back and up my waist. It also extends down to half of my ass cheek. Of all places I have been tattooed, the ass cheek was the most painful as you end up twitching from the needle which makes it tougher for it to go through… wouldn’t of thought so because of the large muscle factor… but believe me it kills!!
I have a tattoo that I just got started on my butt yesterday. It’s going to take 16 hours at least to finish it and all I have done so far is the line work. I’ve had 3 other tattoos previously. One on my forearm a bit bigger than my fist was my first tattoo, one behind my ear and one on my wrist. I thought that getting a tattoo on my butt would be nothing because I felt almost no pain at all with the other three. I was dead wrong. You have three major nerves running down your backside: The femoral nerve, The sacral plexus, and the biggest one the sciatic nerve. The fact is that your butt is mostly fat, even if you’re a gym junky like I am. So instead of having a bunch of conditioned well trained muscles to protect your nerves from the shock, you instead have something barely covering them. Believe me when I say it’s painful but totally worth it. My tattoo artist wouldn’t even tell me it was going to be painful because he has done all of my tattoos and didn’t want me to back out on this one. He’s been tattooing for 30 years and he knew all along how bad it was going to be. The lying SB. Lol I thought I was being a wimp when I kept dropping the f bomb ( to my credit I did not cry at all) I’m getting a flying monkey done in full color on my butt, and It’s going to have the emerald city in the back ground with the yellow brick road, some poppies and a lot of detail. It’s going to be truly beautiful, but I now know what I’m getting into. Just do your research like I did and you’ll be fine.
Ass, sternum, and palm were the most painful tattoos I’ve had, and I have a lot. Sternum is the worst, ass second, palm third. Yes, ass tattoos surprisingly suck, and I chose a large design I’m finishing in small bits because that’s all I can do at once. Did the same with the sternum. Despite what you would think, ass tattoos at the worst! I was not prepared for just how painful it would be.
