Olomouc, Czech Republic. No contest.
You know a better question might have been “What’s the best city in the world (that you don’t live in or were born in)?”
Not Philadelphia. You don’t want to come here. Nope. Not one bit! I mean, think of all the lawyers!
@lightlyseared: Ok. I’ll see your edited question, and say Christchurch, NZ.
@Les in that case I say New York.
Where ever you are the happiest.
My preference is Ridgway, Colorado.
New York City. Hands down. Though i’m also a big fan of Heidelberg Germany.
Def. not Cleveland, Ohio! We are rated #4 on the worst cities to live :(
Quito, for the amazing views, the risk, the adventure…
I’m a big fan of Rome, or Paris. They’re classics but they’re both so beautiful. I could just wander their streets forever.
Seattle (so far)
this gnome’s not done traveling yet though…
Am I seriously the first to say San Francisco? Okay, like many Flutheres I live here…. aside from SF, one city I really loved was San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico
and my home, Burlington, Vermont is truly wonderful
Sydney is great, but Washington DC is my all time favorite, but I do love Miami too and of course NYC was great, but nope, DC is the best.
I forgot Singapore, that is truly amazing, all the different sections, Little India, the outside food courts, the botanic garden is fantastic but so blasted HOT HOT HOT, worse than here which is hard to imagine.
deland, florida.
of course i don’t know what the best city in the world is, but it’s the best i’ve been to.
@Les, you need to get out more. Chicago is a giant pile of shit masquerading as a city. Hell, Milwaukee is a better city than Chicago.
Paris is my favourite, mixture of class and character, although Berlin is a close second if character is what your after..
Just pulled into Adelaide, the Glenelg section on the beach, it is soooooooo beautiful and dog friendly. Had the pup in for a swim already. I love it, I want to move here!
@rooeytoo I would love to be in Australia right now. You lucky dog you! :)
I’d like to be in California…
@jonsblond – I have been here 10 years now, started out in Sydney which I loved, then a sleepy little town in Queensland, right on the beach, then the last 4 in Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory, a tropical climate which I am very tired of! Adelaide is heaven, hot but dry wind off the desert with the Southern Ocean to cool off in, it is good!
I liked Sydney very much. I’d love to go to Australia again.
