I think it depends on how long it’s been dead. A dead moose is probably worse than a dead skunk after a while, because the skunk’s carcass is eventually flattened and worn away by the truck tires. However, the moose carcass will not remain in the road; if it is knocked into the ditch and goes unnoticed for a while, it’s certainly going to stink pretty badly after a few days. The duration would depend on the scavenger population – coyotes and the like – which has been on the decline over the years.
Don’t know about that, but I must say the most odiferous animal I have ever whiffed was a bear. shooooooooooooooooo
You can smell a bear coming from about 3 miles away.

Before I could answer that, I would have to smell all the animals (is it necessary to add “on earth”?). Are there any other choices?
I really really hope not.
I heard the ferret is pretty rankalicious as well.
Here’s a ranking by the Discovery Channel’s Nigel’s Wild Wild World:
1. Tasmanian devil
2. Skunk
3. Hyena
4. Turkey vulture
5. Wolverine
6. Musk ox
7. Stinkbug
8. Beaver
9. Fox
10. Porcupine
Whew! no moose…
although somehow they forgot to include my Weimaraner’s breath
I think it depends upon what deodorant they use.
A buck deer in rut is pretty nasty. You can see the musk dripping down their faces onto there necks and no can smell them far away.
To telll you the truth I have never smelled a moose. They are kind of rustic though so they probubly don’t smell very good.
No I’d say it would be a bear. They are nasty nasty nasty smelling. Wanna barf! They must wallo in some real rank shit or else they forgot to shower and put on deodrant since 3 weeks from last Thursday. Phewwwwwwww! UGH!
