I’m in Montreal and it’s significantly warmer than two weeks ago. Two weeks ago, the city was so smoggy because of all the fireplaces burning, and today I walked outside with a T-shirt and a light over-shirt. It’s also staying lighter later :D
I hope that it doesn’t get cold again and all the melted snow turns to ice :x

It’s been very up and down here (North Carolina). Freezing one day, short and a t-shirt, the next. Weird.
Where I live at least, it always gets warmer around the last few weeks of February. It’ll probably start raining in March.
I’m cold. The big clock outside my window says 0c. It’s been, like, 5–8c or so during the day here in NYC for a week.
It’s been snowing off and on since December here, which is extremely rare. I saw more snow this winter than I have my entire life, growing up in Portland. Today was noticeably warmer than it has been – but not shorts and t-shirt warm. I’m hoping that it stays this way and starts to warm up a little more for Spring.
Umm, yes. Spring is coming. I’m from California, though. The state that has hardly any bad weather at all. It’s warmer than the last few days, but it has been raining.
Nope, its turning cold again.
Two weeks ago in Nashville it was 10 degrees
Last week it was 70
Right now its in the 30s
well. it rained the other day, was 70 the next and then snow the day after. its a roller coaster. and i don’t like this one.
It is getting warmer in New Jersey.
@tennesseejac – we’re pretty much on the same weather pattern as you – we’ve had (rare) a few snowstorms and always more than predicted. It was warmer, but we’re expecting some ice tonight and tomorrow morning. I heard it sleeting an hour ago. A week ago, I was in the back yard in shorts, pitching balls to my son.
I don’t know what Allie has been smoking but I live in the same region and it’s been pretty damn cold this last week. Cold and rainy the last few days. Unfortunately, I have to work outside.
It’s getting a lot warmer here in Phoenix, Arizona. We sometimes skip Spring altogether and go right into Summer. Desert environments are like that, unfortunately.
@AstroChuck Cold!? Are you kidding? It’s definitely gotten warmer over the last week or so. It was colder when it wasn’t raining. I really hate the wind though.
Yes, here in western MD so far this month we’ve had 2 record warm days: 63F and 68F
Where I am, many of the fruit trees are in full bloom. All around town, white and pink and mauve blossoms abound. It’s too early for our apple and cherries, but the almond is wreathed in a fragrant white cloud.
This is also the time of year when we are most apt to have days of heavy rains and wind that knock off the blossoms. That means less fruit. We are having such weather this week.
When the almond blossoms fall, they cover the ground with an illusion of snow that makes me homesick. If you are really still, you can hear the falling petals strike the ground one by one.
I’m in Chicago. Two weeks ago, it would be snowing like crazy right now. Instead we have tons of rain. And me without an umbrella at home!
In Boston, yes. But I just got back from Wachusett skiing so I may have a different perspective.
Yeah, we had some wicked nice warm weather here in Ottawa last week. Seems like this next week will also be hovering around 0 if not single digit temperatures either plus or minus. That’s very fine with me!
Northern SC, We’ve gotten 70’s in the past week, but also 26 night before last. So, like @cak, we’re getting those fluctuations.
Daffodils are in full bloom. No azaleas or fruit blossoms yet.
No dogwoods yet. But redbud is out.
If we get another deep freeze it will probably clobber the peach crop. Oh well.
I am preparing for yet more snow this afternoon and tomorrow. If we are lucky it will be only freezing rain and sleet. My daff. leaves are up about an inch. And I just ordered some Yaktrax to pull over boots to avoid slipping on enough ice to require a Zamboni.
We had one day since late November that was in the high 50’s. Just a memory now.
The climate changes seem more erratic, unpredictable, and dramatic. (Hill country in eastern central NYS – near the Berkshires.)
Got warmer for a brief stint. I was enjoying not being a hermit because of the cold for a second. Now, currently it is snowing. And will continue to snow till we get 3 inches….:(.
According to my favorite weather guy, we are under the influence of an El Nino, so the weather pattern will be warmer now that Spring is only 28 days away! Wooo hooo! I can almost feel the dirt under my fingers.
Definately, we are having week long spells of sunshine which is quite rare for England!!!
