I don’t know how many people will come, but I hope it’s a full-on rager ;)

I actually counted all my family, relatives, friends, co-workers, and acquaintances and if they were all able to attend my funeral, there would be 167 people present.

maybe… 8? including me?

DrasticDreamer's avatar

I really have no idea. People that I would actually want to attend my funeral? 30 or so.

I’m guessing between 60 and 80, assuming that about half of those who might attend would actually come. Some uncles, aunts, and cousins from out of the area would also come. But that’s right now. Friends and relatives have started to die off. In a few years, there wouldn’t be so many.

Probably all the people I owe money to…

I’d say about 20 people. Quality > quantity, right?

About 70 possibles (close friends & relatives).

70
– people I’ve pissed off
– who don’t care that much
– who are too busy
– who can’t afford to travel
– who have a nervous breakdown because I died
= 5

Maybe 70?

It’d be another 100 or so, if I still lived in the midwest, where I grew up and went to college. Interesting to think about. Ahh, Fluther.

augustlan's avatar

Could Flutherites come? I might snag a few more that way ;)

I’m going to say somewhere around 50 and 70 people. Between family and very close friends, late pretty much is the number I’d go with; however, based on my dad’s memorial, you never know. We expected a small gathering, but were amazed by how many came to pay their respects. My dad was friendly with people, but it’s amazing how many lives you touch and don’t even realize it, there were people that told us he really didn’t know them, but he helped them in so many ways.

Probably at least 200.

I don’t care how many people come. I’d be just as satisfied with 0 as with 1000. You know, I’ll be dead and all that.

cwilbur's avatar

There are probably a dozen people that I’d be honored to have at my funeral. I might get as many as 50.

There are seven I know would come. If my college friends come, that’s four more. If anyone from work comes, that might be three more. If a few neighbors come—between two and ten more. If my local friends come—between eight and fifteen more. If my wife’s friends or colleagues come, maybe ten more. If my daughter’s friends come… between two and twenty. If my salon friends come—another eight or so. If my musician friends come between two and six more.

Minimum: 7

Mid range: 46

Maximum: 85

Hmm, better than I thought it would be.

I’d like to think the world would show up, that I’m loved even a little bit by people. Who knows.

Is the winner the one with the most people at one’s funeral?
What do you win?

(I’m being silly/facetious/sarcastic/playful.)

Jeruba's avatar

Well, we could all die and find out.

augustlan's avatar

Oh, let’s not.

Teej220's avatar

I’d say like 300 not to be xocky or anything LOL

I’m sure that my best friend will come.
