Sync Google Contacts with Mac Address Book?
Now that I have enabled Over-The-Air (OTA) Sync between my iPhone and my Gmail account for Contacts and Calendar, is there a way for me to keep my contacts in sync with my Mac computer? It seems that the addressbook sync only works if you do not have OTA enabled. Any ideas (other than using Plaxo, NuevaSync etc.) would be appreciated. Thank you.

A to G is old, but it did the job when I tried using it. The problem I had was that it would add contacts to my MacBook that I didn’t want. Maybe it’s different now with the temporary contacts in Gmail.
@kevbo I should have been more clear: I meant automatically synchronize the Mac Addressbook and Google Contacts.
This is actually a great question. Google Calendar and iCal syncs well with CalDAV and Gmail and Mail syncs well with IMAP. I suppose the next step would be Google Contacts and Address Book syncing well using LDAP.
@wilhel1812 Yes, that’s what I would have thought too. I am using CalDAV already but there seems to be no way to do what I am trying to do directly with Google. You can do a one-way solution with Plaxo (cant enter new info on the local Mac Address Book) or NuevaSync (Can’t enter new info on the iPhone). I have tried Soocial but found it very unreliable—because apparently Gmail Contacts and Gtalk Contacts have some special relationship that just about any sync program will break. The answer has to be a direct sync between the Mac and Google but there isn’t anything out there for it just yet.
Hopefully, someone else will offer some ideas on here.
@wilhel1812 Thank you. Have you tried it? What did you think of it?
I haven’t tried it yet, it showed up in one of my feeds yesterday.
