Information on Internet Marketing?

Many people do. In fact, some of them have organized themselves so well that they can charge money. They’re called business schools, and they specialize in teaching about marketing, finance, management, and the like.

Ask a more specific question, and you’ll probably get a more useful answer.

Thanks but I don’t need a business school. I just wanna know some quick tips or links to useful information on marketing (internet marketing to be specific). Some examples, any experiences. I can find a use for pretty much any marketing information offered.

If you are really new to Online Marketing then go to SEOmoz and start reading, most of this information is focused on SEO (hence the name). It is free to read and join, but if you want access to some of their higher end tools and articles there is a fairly substantial monthly fee (this is mostly for professionals though).

If you want more broad information on Online Marketing then sign up for the Media Post or Ad Age newsletters (free), both of these cover traditional marketing as well so specify your interests when signing up.

One last point: Online or Internet Marketing is really broad, you could be talking about SEO, Paid Search, Rich Media, SMO, Viral Marketing, or General Website Design & UX. Try and find the types that apply to you and I can give you a more comprehensive list of information sources.

Thanks for the info, guys. Also, since you asked it was for some last minute preperation for DECA if you’ve ever heard of that. It’s a business competition and I was getting ready for a role play on Internet Marketing. The links were helpful but I’m sorry to say I won’t be going to Nationals this year. I came close though and considering I’d had virtually no experience and that I’m just a Freshman I think I have much better years to come.

I believe that Internet Marketing is not just an advertisement but. it’s an analyzing of marketing opportunities. Besides that I really think that we should use Social Media Marketing because, it’s a more frequent way of online marketing and very popular too.
