General Question

If you could consult a medium or a psychic to talk with dead loved ones, friends, or anyone of your choosing, would you do it?

Asked by Bluefreedom (22947points) February 18th, 2009

I understand that not everyone believes in the paranormal and sometimes the practices of mediums or psychics have been proven to be flawed or outright hoaxes.

Since we know my question here is hypothetical, let’s speculate that you visited a medium that was very renowned and proven to be able to actually talk to the dead with no tricks and very accurate results. Would you go through with it?

No, I would not. I would value what my loved ones said in life more than what they deemed necessary to communicate to me via a psychic medium.

Yes- I would be curious to see how “accurate” it was. It would be more of an experiment than serious consult as I strongly suspect that most of the mediums are using parlor tricks and observations. I would not pay for the service though unless they told me where my eccentric grandmother hid her money

On a side note I do believe that there are actual authentic paranormal mediums. But I am wary of those who hang a shingle.

I have thought about this and my answer would be no. It would bother me to know that my loved one could still “see” me and know what my life is now like.

Sure. I’d want to talk to my parents.

Yes I absolutely would.

Yeah, I would. I’d be interested what my grandfather was like (he died before I got to really know him).

No, because all that passed away can’t be reached they’re either in heaven or hell, all this so called psychics can be contacting are fallen angels (also known as nephilim/demons) that masquerade as passed away humans to deceive the masses.

If it really were my dead loved ones, if God didn’t mind, and if the price was right I would love to talk to my mom’s dad who died when I was pretty young. I would also like to see what George Carlin thinks of being proven wrong.

If such a thing were possible, I’d love to talk to my grandmother. She died suddenly, at a fairly young age and I feel there is much I could have learned from her if she’d been around longer.

loser's avatar

@Bluefreedom Oh, I don’t actually know how. I just talk…

I would love to talk to Al Davis of the Oakland Raiders….

@shilolo…You’ll probably need to draw some form of pentagram for that. I also heard that he enjoys the blood of Christian babies.

I would. I would love to see who “came through.” Supposedly there’s no guarantee who would come through to talk to you. I would hope my grandmother, grandfather or my ex, who died at age 48 when our daugher was 11 weeks old.

Absolutely YES !!!—and if anyone thinks there is no afterlife, just watch “I Survived” a few times.
It’ll make a believer , or at least a serious questioner, out of you. It’s GREAT.
