Where are the flower children's children?

Asked by Jeruba (56034points) February 19th, 2009

Most hippie types back when were careful to avoid too much responsibility, but some did settle down to a degree and have families. And many of them gave their offspring names that reflected their style and philosophy: names such as Sunshine and Seabreeze, Liberty and Love.

Whom do you know, born in the sixties and seventies, whose names are telltale marks of flower-children parents?

I worked with a woman whose name was Seven Star. She went by Star for a long time, but then embraced the Seven and started going by that.

I currently work with a woman whose name is Cayan (like the pepper, but spelled differently) and a guy named Wing.

One of my teachers when I was in high school had (has) the name Windy. Windy, not Wendy.

I know a girl named Misty Rains. but it sounds like a stripper name more than a hippie name.

I’ve known a Tuesday and a Blue, both girls. Besides that, I’ve got nothing. Oh, I used to know a Windy, too

I have a friend named Daisy Spring. Her parents were hippies. Consequently, here kids names’ are River, Jade, Pavan, and Kai. I think it’s safe to say the hippie gene got passed down.

When I was little, my mom’s friend babysat 2 little girls named Summer and Autumn. They were not in any way related.
