That’s up to a jury to decide. The media has him already convicted.
But, yeah, I think he likely is.

How awful of Perez to publish this picture. I’m usually ok with some pap pictures, but this is crossing a major privacy line. Shame on him.

And um, is this an actual question?

haleyray07's avatar

that pic is so terrible, if it isnt edited and that is an actual photo, he is not innocent and he really should be punished, this whole situation is so sad

Who is Chris Brown? Seriously…

Kiev749's avatar

Chris brown is a young up and coming rapper.

Yes thats dispicable. People should not beat their significant others.

I know who is but I don’t know what he did.

@shilolo
A very talented kid…. but that picture has been edited, you see that and it makes you think Rihanna was dating a very mad Apolo Creed

1. I’m not going to look at that picture.
2. I’ve heard about it already, and frankly Rihanna’s privacy has been massively violated by whoever leaked it and further by anyone who posts it and yes, even those to link to it.
3. Domestic violence is absolutely awful, I hope they throw the book at him, but it may be very difficult to make much stick. Domestic violence is very difficult to prosecute. The best thing to come out of this situation is more light shed on domestic violence and perhaps making it a bit easier to get protection.

He is not even a little bit innocent. It’s NEVER okay to beat on your significant other. It’s even WORSE when you’re a role model for millions of young teenagers and children. What’s worse is that people like Kanye have been interviewed and have said things like “mistakes happen…can’t we give Chris a break?”. NO we can’t give him a break. Make a damn example out of him. It’s not okay, and as a “role model” he’s just teaching other teenaged boys that this is okay. It is NOT.

The publicity this entire ordeal has emanated pisses me off. This is why I hate fame, and celebrity status. How many significant others genuinely are abused repeatedly in their relationships on a daily basis and need help for it? Two young kids in a relationship have a stupid fight and wham bam thank you ma’am it’s blown up like a bitch.

Bringing to light the prevalence of domestic violence, especially among young people, is very important. If nothing else, this story has done that.

last week was domestic violence awareness/prevention week at my school.
and a week later nearly every girl in my school is defending chris brown at every opportunity, swearing that he didn’t do it. come on.

i mean, i was not there. i didn’t see what happened. but at even the slightest possibility that someone in a relationship was being abused, these same people would be horrified, yet because it’s a cute singer/rapper, they’re like “no, he definitely didn’t do it”. i don’t know, i think there must be at least some hint of truth to this, though i personally definitely think he did it. shame, he’s pretty talented.

Well maybe because they say that Rihanna was too controling. I prolly wudda lost it 2 n just swung. But they are both kinda guilty. “Take A Bow”

EmpressPixie's avatar

I’m sorry, LAGirl, but are you enabling domestic violence? Are you saying that it is, in any circumstances appropriate to beat your significant other? Because you are WRONG.

LouisianaGirl's avatar

it was wrong but they say she was controling but yet again it was wrong and CB shouldnt have hit her because they love each other. I am saying that they are BOTH guilty.

tinyfaery's avatar

So you are saying she deserved it? Damn, I fear for the future.

Likeradar's avatar

@LouisianaGirl
Really?
If she was so incredibly controlling, as “they” say, he could have done the manly, humane thing and broken up with her.

It’s not that he shouldn’t have (allegedly) hit her because he “loves” her- he shouldn’t have hit her because people, especially men, do not hit other people, especially women.

She is not guilty, even a little. If she really was so hard to deal with, he didn’t have to deal with her. He chose his actions.

LouisianaGirl's avatar

@tinyfaery no i hope that she makes the right decision and follows her heart and stays with her family until everything is sorted out and she is completely healed phisicaly and emotionally. Best wishes and felling go out to Rihanna!!!!

LouisianaGirl's avatar

Poor Rihanna!!!! God bless her and I hope she makes it through that.

This is seriously fucked up…

Here’s a conversation starter: Nearly half of the 200 Boston teenagers interviewed for an informal poll said pop star Rihanna was responsible for the beating she allegedly took at the hands of her boyfriend, fellow music star Chris Brown, in February.

Of those questioned, ages 12 to 19, 71 percent said that arguing was a normal part of a relationship; 44 percent said fighting was a routine occurrence.

Health counselors are specifically concerned with teenagers’ views of the controversy. Of the teens questioned, more than half said both Brown, 19, and Rihanna, 21, were equally responsible for the assault. More than half said the media were treating Brown unfairly, and 46 percent said Rihanna was responsible for the incident.
