I tried, it drove me nuts, I quit.
Doing some things in Flash isn’t that difficult at all, but then you can do some very complex stuff with actionscript. It all depends what you want to do.
It depends how familiar you are with Adobe products already and what your current experience level is. That being said, TaoSan hit the nail pretty much on the head.
You can start off with some tutorials and make a basic animation really easily. But, if you want to get into full out database driven flash sites with actionscript and Flex, you are going to be sharpening up your programming skills.
So, the ease of use really depends on your goals and what you are trying to accomplish.
@TheWebMix…...made a shiver run through me remembering to get a login window done in Flash…...grrrrrr
Hi TheWebMix, welcome to Fluther!
I learned by completing free tutorials online. It has been a while since I’ve used tutorials like this, but here are some examples of the type of stuff I started on:
Tweening
Basic Animation
Look for tutorials that interest you and don’t be afraid to push outside of your skill set. Tutorialized has a lot of good stuff, not all, but some.Once you get the basics of flash look into taking an ActionScript class.
