How are you feeling right now?

I have a bit of post-nasal drip so my throat is kind of sore, but I just watched a great episode of Friday Night Lights, I’m taking my two youngest sons to see a movie, I don’t have to work tonight, and Hugh Laurie is hosting Saturday Night Live. I am missing the one I love, but on the whole I’m doing pretty well.

Physically & mentally okay. Am still sitting here in my pj’s playing. So I guess I’m lazy this morning. I haven’t gotten sick yet, but winter’s not over by a long shot, either.

I’m sick. I’m at work. And I just ate carbs. Ugh.

Last night I met somebody in whom I see the potential for a lasting friendship, so I feel pretty good right now. Thank you.

Exhausted! My daughter has a cold and she kept me up all night. I am very excited though, we’re going to see one of our favorite comedians perform this evening to celebrate my husband’s birthday.

Well I have had a stupid weird little annoying cold since last Sunday. It has been very chilly where I live in PA and the cold has been getting in my bones and I have been having a hard time staying warm. Even though I have been bundling up. :-(
I am basically just relaxing this weekend. I am looking forward to Monday because we have a painter coming to do some work to the interior of our home and also I am going to my sisters to spend the day with my nephews!

I’m having a wonderful saturday, thank you! My boyfriend and I are about to pick up some $5 footlongs and then head to the dog park to let our dog, Bao Bei, run around and play. Kinda cloudy though, hope it doesn’t rain.

mildly euphoric, and happy. The euphoria is normal for me. It comes from working in the kitchen. EPZ loves his kitchen!

Frustrated. Spent the afternoon at the eye doctor yesterday and they did a bunch of tests. My eyes hurt today and things are blurry. (cursing the small font on fluther)

@babirurtle36 since it is Mardi Gras we are going to a parade at 5:00, haven`t been too well because of my braces,I am also very happy that everyone on here is doing well and that we all care for each other.I am also happy because we just found out my 2 wekk old niece doesn`t have to have surgery on her left liver!!!! Yay go Mal-Mal!!! It is raining right now but it will be over soon.

@LouisianaGirl Sorry about the braces. Those can be difficult to adjust too. How long do you need to wear them for?

@poofandmook When I had my braces (many, many moons ago), cold pudding was definitely my friend.

Are braces still silver?

when I had my braces adjusted, I made instant mashed potatoes with plenty of parmesan cheese and peas. It was heaven, even if my mouth was killing me. That throbbing that spreads throughout your entire head is the worst.

@cprevite yes they can be silver when u get to pick your colors or they can be clear but you cant drink dark dirnks or it will stain them.

@cprevite: They have clear ones, but they don’t usually give them to children because they’re plastic and break. And they’re way more expensive. And for even MORE money, you can get a retainer type of braces, which is basically a plastic thing that goes over your teeth.

Edit: Other than those expensive options, yes, they’re still silver.

eeeeek, ok now im cold! :) While we were at the dog park, it rained, and the temperature fell about 15 degrees. Soaked and cold…...brrrrrr :)

I am frustersted. I am taking the Mass bar exam in 4 days. I am so sick of these books. I hope I pass. I can’t wait to have a bonfire in front of my house. It will be a pleasure to see these books up in flame.

I’m OK. My daughter played in her last basketball game of the season. Bittersweet. My favorite uncle and aunt came to the game, it was great to see them. My boys broke their shared cell, sucks for them. My neck was killing me when I woke up, but has gotten better…yeah!! I’m going to see a drag show tonight, totally pumped for that. On the whole, I feel pretty good.

I’m even better than I was earlier, I was not forced to endure Hotel for Dogs! We saw The Pink Panther 2 instead. It was pretty bad, but not as bad as I imagine Hotel for Dogs would have been. You are sorely missed Peter Sellars….

I just woke up from a 9 hour rest so I’m feeling pretty good. And I have the whole weekend off from work for the first time in 3 weeks. Things are looking up.

I am glad because I dont have school Monday or Tuesday either because Mardi Gras! Oh, how I love Louisiana.

Eh, not so great today. Headache and my damn jaw still hurts! Still un-employed! Whoo hoo ~

@augustlan, do you have a diagnosis on the jaw issue yet? Sorry if I missed the answer somewhere!

I spent the day moving things from one room of the house to another, I can’t look at the same decorations/ art in one place for long. I’m looking online at painted fireplaces, trying to get inspiration for mine. I’m a little sad because I want to do some home improvements but can’t afford it.
When you go to the parade, catch a strand of beads for each member of fluther. Or at least for me!

@SuperMouse They thought it was a sinus infection (so did I), but I’m on the last day of a 10 day round of antibiotics, and the pain is not gone. I’m thinking it might be TMJ, now.

My mouth hurts big time because my braces are rubbing ulsers onto the sides of my mouth and the wax isnt helping. This is gonna b a long 14 months!

@LouisianaGirl don’t worry, it will end pretty soon, this won’t last the entire time you have braces.

@SuperMouse what about when I get them tightened?

LSU, believe it or not, your mouth will completely adjust to the braces in a few days. It will hurt again when you get them adjusted, but your mouth will catch up quickly each time. In the future, take Motrin before your appointments. And take some now :)

@LouisianaGirl if memory serves, your teeth will be a bit achy when you get them tightened, but it won’t irritate the inside of your mouth.

on the happier side of mediocre, my partner has left an hour ago after spending a lot of time together at the weekend and i always feel this way on a sunday when he leaves…i don’t know when we will see one another again during the week or whether it will be next weekend…

and it’s like i have to pick myself back up and fill up my life with other things…but sometimes i just think it would be so much better if her were here all the time…sometimes..

there’s always that hatred of chemistry in the back of my mind, but right now there’s also a touch of nostalgia and quite a bit of laziness/sleepiness.
