General Question
How could you take the idea of adaptive mobile websites one step further?
As part of an innovation, entrepreneurship and CS class (all one class!), I’m working on a project to increase the real estate of mobile websites. Currently, mobile site space is limited to the palm of your hand, greatly taking away from the user experience. I’m writing a script that can be put into any site that shifts content by what you’ve already viewed or expressed disinterest in, making the experience more dynamic. Right now, I have a script that changes the layout based on stories/content you’ve already read and puts it in a new tab on the web page called “what you’ve already read” like amazon’s “what you’ve already viewed”. The stories/content that users haven’t had a chance to read are moved to the top of the home page. I’m also playing around with a widget that allows the user to click to the top, middle and bottom of the page, rather than scrolling around for years. What else do you think can be done with this? I feel like there are so many possibilities!!
