Which Movie always makes you feel better?
Whenever my dad was sad he would watch Pretty Woman or whatever Julia Roberts movie he could find because it always cheered him up. What movie does the same thing for you???

A Night at the Opera, The African Queen or The Gods Must be Crazy are three at the top of my list of cheerer-uppers.
Garden State – Because it reminds me of home.
Dirty Dancing – Because it reminds me of friends.
Over the Hedge – Because it reminds me of my siblings.
True Romance – Because it reminds me of him, love and plus I love the action.
and
Pulp Fiction and Fever Pitch, for just being great movies.
The Court Jester with Danny Kaye. He was so funny. And I love the sword fighting scene, it shows real skill. What a tummler that Danny was. And in his 40s, yet!
Singin’ in the Rain, Oh, what a glorious movie, especially the Moses Supposes scene. It never fails to cheer me up. And I always, always laugh at this bit:
Lina: Gee, this wig weighs a ton! What dope’d wear a thing like this?
Rosco: Everybody used to wear them, Lina.
Lina: Well, then everybody was a dope.
Spaceballs, Anchorman, Zoolander, Ace Ventura (the first one), or Super Troopers.
Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.
I’m Ron Burgundy?
I forgot Caddyshack, Airplane!,
and Joe Dirt.
Coming to America
Office Space
Tommy Boy
Dumb and Dumber

Scream. It’s just a kick-ass movie… and I hear they’re coming out with #4! (but it will probably suck.)
Airplane 1 & 2
The Naked Gun
Top Secret
Hot Shots & Hot Shots: Part Deux

Sperms of Endearment
@Bluefreedom…If you’ve seen Kentucky Fried Movie than you’ve maybe seen The Groove Tube?
@Blondesjon. Yeah I have! Crazy stuff. Wait, how about Amazon Women on the Moon? That was the same type of movie. Did you see that one? It was totally off the wall. :o)
@ april – Lurve for The Court Jester and “tummler.”
@Bluefreedom…Sure! The opening scene is the only funny thing I have ever seen Arsenio Hall do.
i also see you have a mancrush on leslie neilson
even though i’d always be in tears at the end, breakfast at tiffany’s always made me feel better. i haven’t watched it in like a year though ):
I get high and watch Fantasia (the original, none of this 2000 bullshit).
Other options include Waiting, Saved!, Knocked Up, Accepted, Spice World, I Heart Huckabees, 10 Things I Hate About You, Annie Hall, Dogma, and if it’s really bad, The Sandlot or The Princess Bride or The Secret Garden.
@TitsMcGhee Much lurve for Fantasia, Saved!, and Annie.
I was gonna say pretty woman too. That’s just a classic!
@jonsblond: I do hope you mean Annie Hall, because if I could slap anyone square across the face, it would be Shirley Temple.
LOL oops! How did I miss that? Annie was a part of my pre-teen years. Along with E.T. and The Karate Kid. Though I’m pretty sure Shirley Temple wasn’t in Annie, at least the one that I saw in the theater.
I never saw Annie Hall, can you believe? :D
@jonsblond: That’s a travesty, that you haven’t. Get on that, pronto. And Shirley Temple was in the famous movie version of Annie, as well as a bunch of other similarly ridiculously obnoxious films with her obnoxious face and voice.
@TitsMcGhee Will do. My mom (bless her heart) has gotten my daughter a few Temple movies. My daughter could kick Shirley’s ass when it comes to singing and cuteness though. Oh wait, that’s what you hate about Shirley! Nevermind. ;)
It’s a Wonderful Life
The Breakfast Club
The Quiet Man
@Tits Lurve for Dogma!
Gladiator, for some reason.
Most comedies help.
Pineapple Express! Thank ganja its out on DVD now.
Transformers!!!!! The good guy wins in the end, the cars are hot, the girl is hot, it’s basically just a great movie.
@Triiiple: Ah, I need to see that movie again… I missed a few things the first time I saw it… I was drunk and my face was attached to someone…
For me, it has to be either “Charade” with Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant, or “Little Women” (the nineties version w/Winona Ryder and Susan Sarandon, as well as Christian Bale…mmm). The second is when I want to weep it all out.
@zephyr826 WOW… WE Love Charade – so much fun, great chemistry, wonderful clothes! And definitely Little Women, although I also liked the Elizabeth Taylor version – but I’m probably a bit older than you!
@mjchatter My mom and I have watched those movies hundreds of times. I’m in love with Peter/Alexander/Joshua etc.
My all time fave is Better Off Dead.
four weeks…twenty papers…two dollars
@Blondesjon LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! I want an anteater hooded jacket!!
“Do you have any idea what the street value is of this mountain”
