Is there any truth at all in the claim that certain foods act as aphrodisiacs?
All I know is that I’ve eaten a sh**load of asparagus this evening and all I can think about is sex.
Of course, that’s usually the case, regardless of what I eat.

My girlfriend gets really horny after she eats nuts.
AstroChuck, you need to spare Gus his ass for one night, please!
Oh, so if a food is shaped like a penis then it’s an afrodisiac?
….and sometimes Brazilian bananas.
So doughnuts should work on my wife?
I get so horny sometimes even the crack of dawn looks good.
Creme filled chocolate doughnuts.
Apparently, pancakes are a source for spontaneous orgasms for several people on Fluther. That’s a food aphrodisiac of seismic proportions in my opinion. :o)
I can’t believe mustard is on that list!
@blue – watch the pancakes, sometimes, they can backfire.
I’ve eaten many foods that people claim are aphrodisiacs and have never felt the effects. Now beer on the other hand…
“Tequila makes my clothes come off ”.
@Johnny_Rambo I really do love tequila, and it really does makes my clothes fall off.
It is a proven scientific fact that certain foods include hormones and other substances that either help long-term productivity (ie things like sperm density) or actual sexual urges (yes, they are aphrodisiacs). However this does not mean that giving your sexy colleague a nut will make her want to have sex with you on the photocopier. It just improves overall sexual performance, that’s all.
Yes, in almost all the food that claim aphrodisiacs really worked.. Try this..
1. Cinnamon: Eating cinnamon heats up your body and, in turn, your sex drive. Cinnamon also has anti-inflammatory properties, and can help normalize blood sugar.
2. Pine Nuts: Loaded with zinc, which is essential for producing testosterone, pine nuts have reportedly provided men with sexual stamina since the Middle Ages. Grind them up with basil, garlic, and olive oil for a delicious pesto.
3. Almonds: These nuts are an ancient symbol of fertility extending back to Biblical times. The sweet fragrance may also serve as a sexual attractant. Avo’s are also high in beneficial fats, fiber, and vitamin E.
