General Question
What do you think of the Katrina response after seeing this video?
About 30 minutes total.
Is it me, or does this now seem like a deliberate exercise (like a practice run) in the science of killing and displacing metropolitan-based populations?
Bushco was often accused of ignoring science, but what if instead of simply ignoring it they used the science (such as from the hurricane research center) to maximize death and destruction to the extent that they could blame it on acts of nature and bureaucracy and still get away with it?
If that’s the case, why bother being a world-class hurricane researcher?
I’m sorry to be so negative, but it just seems too plainly obvious.
If this interests you, watch “When the Levees Broke” through this lens and see how differently (and significantly) parts of the interviews come across, and how (like 9/11) everybody in the Bush administration was out of the office that day.
I know that’s in the past and we’ve got Obama now to restore law and order, but I’d encourage people to watch the response to the next (natural) disaster and see if it fits the pattern.
