How can I generate a fake phone number for a website to send their spamming texts to?
Any websites that do this?

Are you talking about giving a fake number when you fill out forms? If so, just make it up yourself (I do this all the time). If you’re asking about a large scale situation, I’m afraid I can’t help you there.
it is for filling out forms, but they text me a pin number that i then need to go to a website and verify. any way around this? i don’t feel like getting spam for the rest of my life.
Dont! It could be someone else’s.
@90s_kid : well i wasn’t planning on it. that’s why i was asking for a service that generates numbers that don’t belong to people.
Can’t you set it up for them to email you the pin number? If so, just create an email address just for those types of things.
they don’t ask for an email, just my phone number. i already have a spam email account for those types of things. they specifically say that they will text me a pin that i then need to verify. there isn’t really any other way to “set it up” or get around it unless i can provide them with a bogus phone number that doesn’t belong to anyone and i can check the text messages for.
Here’s one that works well for voicemail. You have to get at least one message per month or they cancel the service. I use it when I am tricking nigerian scammers that send me emails wanting to put millions into my bank account ( also known as a 409 scam) I don’t know of any for texting tho, sorry.
thanks scamp! ill check it out.
ah, seems like they don’t work with text messages. this seems like a great service though, thanks a lot.
Yes. Sorry I said that without thinking!
@swingliner glad to help. If I come up with something for testing, I’ll let you know.
I vote for “C” “delete the message without reading”
I got my first text spam today. When I went home, I Googled “spam text message” and got the link to the FCC website to report the spam. I also reported it to AT&T and Apple (because I suspect an app I used for the first time hours before generated the spam).
EDIT: Oops! I didn’t read the details first, and it appears that my response is off-base. But I won’t remove it completely, in case it might help someone else.
It’s not for phone numbers but bugmenot.com let’s you log into a lot of websites with usersnames that have been created for everyone to use.
If it’s spam, why do you want to participate in this website in the first place?
What if I don’t have a cell phone yet I have the same problem.
