Morning! The pre-work freshener.
I shower in the evening when I get home from work because I work with dogs all day and I need to get the dog smell off when I get home. Plus, I hate showering in the morning cause it’s too cold for me.
During the week – the morning. It has to be one of the first things I do in order to get my self going and motivated for work and/or class.
During the weekend, however, I usually shower mid-afternoon (like around 2 or 3pm) because I take my mornings slow, do homework, and then get ready to hang out with friends or family.
I take mine at night because I have school in the mornings
In the mornings. I wouldn’t dream of going out with my hair not washed & done, so it’s just part of my daily routine. Plus I want to be clean when I put clean clothes on.
Both. I do a sport and shower in the afternoon and morning. But in the off season, I shows in the morning. Your bed has germs. But sometimes I shower in the night. Maybe now I will, right now. Bye y’all.
Depends on how bad the hot flashes are! Morning showers wake me up – I do like them; however, since I’ve had cancer – I shower at all times of the day. Sometimes, just to help with pain.
Morning unless I work out. There’s something amazing about going to bed really clean and fresh. I get a better night’s sleep when I end up doing that…
Morning, always. I have curly hair which HAS to be scrunched with some gel or something and then air dry unless I’m going to straighten it. Which is too much work. And if I sleep on this stuff wet? I wake up to one hell of a bad hair day. :)
At night, about an hour before bed. The warm water and putting on lotion afterward relaxes me, plus I hate getting up earlier in the morning to shower…I am so not a morning person and I try to get as much sleep as I possibly can.
I have the same issue as fireinthepriory – I have to take a shower in the morning because I have thick, curly hair that takes a long time to dry. I prefer to do that anyway, since it wakes me up.
I have to say though, there’s nothing like a long, hot shower with a salt scrub, right before bed.
Morning. I need to look good and smell nice.
At night. I need to get all the school and gym germs off. I love slipping into bed all soft and silky, makes for a great night sleep.
I prefer night because I suck at being on time in the morning and showers just take time up before I start my day. But then again, I’m too lazy to do it at night so generally I end up taking them in the morning and being late (but awake) for the day. Fuck my life.
i am a sloth in the morning.
i’m not willing to give an extra 40 minutes to shower/dry my hair when i can just do it the night before. also, i loveeee when i have clean sheets on my bed and i just got out of the shower, and i usually curl my hair after i dry it. i definitely wouldn’t have time for that at 6am.
I had this conversation the other day with my friend. Apparently in western cultures it’s the norm to shower in the morning but as it happened we realised that both of us shower at night as is the Asian custom. I wonder why…
(This is a pretty rash generalisation, but I’ve found it holds pretty true at least between the people I know.)
I work at night and sleep during the day and when I get up to bathe, that makes me an afternoon showerer. It’s the most practical time for me and my schedule.
Both. Like the refreshing feeling in the morning, but also absolutely love going to bed feeling clean. Going to bed w/out showering just feels…..dirty. Plus, I go to the gym a lot and have extended periods of sex quite often, both of which I like to shower after.
In the morning—it wakes me up and gives me something to do while I wake up.
Mostly evening. Daily blowing drying is brutal, and I’m not willing to get up earlier just to let my hair air dry.
It depends on my day. If I wake up and have to be somewhere or meet someone during the day, I shower in the morning. If I have been doing hard or dirty work, I will usually take a bath in the evening before bed. I find that a shower is invigorating, whereas a hot bath is so-o-o-o relaxing.
I shower in the morning as it wakes me up as well as remove any sweatiness from sleeping over the night. I also like to feel fresh and clean before I do anything “dramatic” during the day.
However ideally I would shower both in the morning and before sleep – but sadly I am too lazy and I like to let my (long) hair dry naturally which takes hours so would be inappropriate to do so before sleeping. Also it would be impossible for me to blow dry my hair if I did plan on showering before sleep as I sleep after almost everyone in my house has gone to sleep and it would probably wake them all up.
