This question was inspired by an earlier question from tinyfaery.
Is there a musician that tried acting and maybe they shouldn’t have?

Mariah Carrey (sp?)
J. Lo
Madonna
I like 3 of Madonna’s movies.
How about Britney or Jessica Simpson. But, then they aren’t that great at their day jobs either.
@tinyfaery lol
@elijahsuicide I agree with J.Lo with the exception of The Cell.
I think Ice T is a better actor than musician. He’s actually the total package. :)
Sting. He did one good movie: Brimstone and Treacle.
Somehow his charisma doesn’t really translate to the big screen, and I don’t know why.
@aprilsimnel I agree. He just seems to be playing himself. He’ll always be “Sting”.
All of them… besides Will Smith because he actually does a good job.
John Bon Jovi,
horrible actor.
Mariah Carey…she clearly can’t act for anything. Glitter? Seriously?
Jessica Simpson: one more vote.
@adreamofautumn
I seriously have to watch Glitter. I always hear how horrible it is.
@adreamofautumn J. Lo did appear in a few movies before her debut album in 1999. You are right. She was actually a dancer before acting and singing. I still think she’s a terrible actress! :P
Rick Springfield….poor guy actually played the weeny local theater here as a headline act this year!
I guess most of them I never watch their movies unless there are real strong legitimate actors/actresses in it. I can say Ice-T, and Ice-Cube did pretty good to me crossing over. I have to remind myself that Ice-T use to be a rapper. Willie Nelson never impressed me. Eminem never impressed me either. There is such a glut of popular personalities invading TV and movies, they scare me to just sticking with legitimate actors/actresses.
