I’ve never had any problems using Windows DVD maker. It’s fast, its simple and it works. Having said that I think its quite limited in the file types it can handle (no MP4 support for example) so I imagine your problem is that you are trying to burn files it can’t recognise.

@Lightlyseared – the files are divx video files. yea, im sure that is the problem, but then what DO i use to burn them? just because they are divx i cant burn?

I haven’t got divx files around to experiment with so I can’t say for sure if doesn’t like them but I have a feeling divx uses an Mpeg4 codec so i wouldn’t be surprised.

You could try Nero 9.

Go here. You can find the software you need there, some of it free.

first you insert the cd, then you eject it, place it aside. Next, tilt your PC using both arms 45degrees above your head. Lunge the PC AWAY from your body using as much strength as you can muster. Revel in the crashing sound & shattering pieces of hardware. Make sure you have your eye protective goggles on so as to not go blind from the flying debris making you a pirate who has to get a job at pirate & renaissance fairs. Lastly, get in your car & drive to the nearest Apple reseller & purchase your first Mac. Congratulations.
