Calibri is my latest favourite.
You really can’t beat Tahoma.
Century Gothic’s kinda cool too.
I’m on this sans serif kick lately. Franklin Gothic Medium.
Good Lord. I sound like such a nerd.
Goudy Old Style
Old English
I’d like to know what the font is that’s used on the current Doctor Who opening titles. I’ve seen attempts of it online, but it’s not quite the same. And I must give a shoutout to whomever it was that came up with a font called “Wolves, Lower”. That’s R.E.M.-tastic!
just about anything but comic sans. i hate comic sans.
i’m pretty into times new roman. it’s just so simple.
Hoefler Text, Adobe Jenson.
“Beyond Wonderland” is cool for certain applications.
@cwilbur – I like both of those a lot myself.
@Sparkie – I agree, Calibri is very nice. My sentimental favorite sans serif type is Gill Sans.
I’m a big fan of Helvetica Neue
Helvetica Neue definitelly. Then probably Times New Roman
@tabbycat. With Calibri – even the name is nice! I haven’t heard of a few of the ones that have been mentioned here.
I am really enjoying this question. I get reminded of some typefaces I really like and get to learn about new ones.
I tend to like the Italian typefaces, and the Monotype typefaces. I like Bembo, Centaur, Jenson, and Garamond. I’m actually quite fond of Bodoni, too, and regret that it is not used more these days. I like anything designed by Eric Gill—including Perpetua, Johanna, and Gill Sans.
I am in my late fifties, so I came to typography from books, not computers, but I am interested in both letterpress and computer-based printing.
No Comic Sans? Johnpowell will be very upset about this. :(
Erm… I personally like Trebuchet MS, but nothing beats Tahoma size 10 bold. :)
i have always loved Curlz
