Is there any way that my macbook deletes history without me having to do it?

i dont like to keep deleting daily, so, can i personalize it to delete itself everytime i open a page?

Yes, you can set Firefox to delete your history every time you close the page. If you are using Safari you can set it to delete after one day by going into the preferences.

Using Safari you can also use “Private Browsing…” under the Safari menu.

This is not tested

Navigate to /yourusername/Library/Safari/

Do a “get info” on History.plist

Click on the lock at the bottom of the get info window. Enter password. Make all three entries read only.

That should do the trick. But like I said, I didn’t test it.

@andrew can you give some more details? i cant find where to do it.

In Safari it is under the Safari menu at the top.

Are you using Safari or another browser?

Here is a pic.

Keep in mind that will turn off things like saving passwords. What I posted in the quip above will just turn off the history. Something to think about.

Ok, thanks! i did something wrong because now i cant see the pictures on the web pages! LOL!
