Environmentally Safe Septic Additives ???

I’ve read/heard about chemical additives for septic tanks that will help break down septic waste. I’m trying to figure out if this product is environmentally friendly and safe to use. It’s called PowerPAC. Found here: http://www.bwseptic.com/product.php Does anyone have experience with this product? Is it safe for my tank?
