I think it’s a redneck exclamation showing that they are excited about something.

I think that only Darryl Waltrip (I may have misspelled his name) says it; when the races are carried by other networks with different announcers, no one says it. I always guessed that he started it when he was racing and that it became a trademark, of sorts.

I don’t know why they do that. I’ve never noticed, probably ‘cause I don’t really watch Nascar races BUT I did give this a Great Question point ‘cause it made me lol.
Because “Pizza, Pizza” was already taken?
