Why dont they call it a "suck job"?
In response to jonsblond’s answer about GWB “blowing” and not “sucking”… isn’t that the same? Why do they call it a BJ? I’ve never wanted someone to actually blow on it like they are blowing on a hot piece of food.
I would research this myself, but Im at work right now and cant afford to have a big picture of a penis popping up on my screen

So at home big pics of penises are a-ok? hrm.
i’d imagine it’s because the mouth looks as if it is blowing out.
sucking would be more akin to the look you make when you suck on a lemon.
Isn’t that kinda like saying “eating pussy”? You dont really eat it…
@tennessee, this is a good question. I’ve wondered this same thing myself many times.
conversely, people do say “suck a [insert term for penis here]”....but that’s more literal.
Maybe because the word “suck” is a reminder of the action performed by a vacuum and ladies don’t want to be thinking of housework while they are administering oral sex or fellatio for you discriminating Jellies. :o)
This thread would be making me take the johnpowell approach to problemsolving if I had one.
@Bluefreedom Lurve for that one!
I have, as a woman, always wondered about this… but no man has ever been able to convince me as to why it is called a BJ instead of an SJ… but then again there are so many things about language which are contradictory.
This makes sense—-> (taken from a Yahoo!Answers thread on the same question) “According to Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oral_Sex#Fe…
“The common slang term blow-*** is a misnomer, as blowing is not normally part of fellatio. In fact, blowing air into a partner’s penis is an unhealthy practice. It is most commonly thought to be a facetious use of “blow” as the opposite of “suck”. It has been suggested to be a corruption of “below-job”, allegedly an old Victorian slang term that was commonly used to describe the act. However, there is a third school of thought that believes the word “blow” in “blow-***” indicates the climax of the penis (compare to blowing of a volcano). The phrase “blow-***” originated in the 1940’s;[7] at the time, it was also used by Allied pilots as a slang term for jet aircraft.[8]”
@KrystaElyse yeah, but I would consider it one of my favorite desserts so “eating” to me is appropriate
@tennesseejac – If we’re talking about favorite desserts…i’d rather have a slice of chocolate cake than give a BJ :P
@KrystaElyse howsabout an eclair? <wink>
for what it’s worth, wesley snipes doesn’t agree with the term suck either.
I’ve heard that it was because if she sucks in one direction and sucks in the other it’s actually quite good. Not blowing as in trying to blow up the penis like a balloon animal, but just putting pressure so that the cheeks bow out a bit and just the tips of the lips and tongue touches.
Ive always wondered about that. I also wonder what other people think about while giving and receiving “private kisses” too
Is nothing sacred or even private?
@babiturtle36 I just think about where Im going to “blow” it… hmmmm does she spit or swallow?
lol… thats an entirely new thread…that probably wont be discussed haha. Like it would be nice to know what my bf was thinking…but then again… I dont want to know about the hot blond with the huge tits he saw at the mall today.
@tennesseejac: Free speech, freedom of thought & expression – but crass attempts to get yourself off here are just too much. Have a bit of class and be aware that there are 13 & 14 year old kids around the site.
@eponymoushipster LOLLL, good one there, but a French horn is a rolled pastry with a white cream filling in the middle. You have to put your lips around them when you’re eating it. grin
@jbfletcherfan OH…that french horn. gotcha.
yeah, i’m more of a cherry danish kinda guy, personally.
@bythebay I thought that is what mods were for… and I believe that nowadays 13yr olds know more about sex than I do
food service jobs= suck jobs
office clerk=suck jobs
@bythebay no, but if I did I probably wouldn’t let them surf the internet freely
Everything happens for a reason.
Both the expressions are so elegant that I have a really difficult time in choosing. Such a dilemma, nu?
Slang is slang is slang is my opinion. Noting that suck and blow are opposites (haha, remember the great game ‘suck and blow,’ made famous by Clueless?) is worthwhile, I suppose, but then again, why do they call it giving head? Or dome action?
@BONZO: I have E-40 to thank for that, lol.
@ TitsMcGhee, or brains as I’ve heard Ludacris mention.
they dint call it a suck job to brainwash you in o the system faster. finda job you like and do it
