Do you have any odd superstitions?

Any rituals that you must do to complete a certain task or make it through the day?
Any odd fears or superstitions that have no real basis or reason behind them?
I never use the hairdryer with the toilet seat up. I suppose it is my mom’s warnings from when I was younger still ringing in my ears.
I also must always open my garage door before I start my car. Not sure why, I just get this creepy feeling if I accidentally begin to start the car without the door up.
Do you have anything like this?

i make wishes on just about anything. i suppose that isn’t weird though maybe a bit obsessive i guess. i make wishes on pink cars, over railroads with my feet off the floor, through tunnels holding my breath, on first stars, on jinxes (not sure if that one’s legitimate whatsoever).
i check to make sure the doors are locked about 10 times a night.
i think there’s a handful more of weird superstitions/habits i have, but i can’t think of any )):
I always kiss my hand and touch the roof of my car when I go under a red stoplight, and I knock on wood.
I refuse to walk under a black cat or if a ladder crosses my path, I wait for it to return before moving on, but other than those, no I am not superstitious.
I have OCD so I have TONS of little things like that but I don’t think it’s because of superstition.
I do the car thing though because I am worried that I will accidentally go through it.
I will check my headlights every time I get out of the car, even in the daytime.
I have others, I have to think.
When we see a roadkill, we blow it a kiss to free its soul to move on.
@Marina i do the sign of the cross with my finger to do the same thing.
I also just plain do the sign of the cross for a loss of life or uncertain loss of life.
@Bri_L How interesting that this similar ritual developed independently. I think you are right that people deserve equal treatment from me.
@Marina we say that the creature is ‘sleeping by the side of the road.’
I consider the number 13 good luck.
I used to have this horrible OCD about doing something the exact same way to get out of somewhere..
Example, let’s say I walked under a ladder to go somewhere, I’d have to walk back under it for it to even out.
Thankfully this has subsided greatly.
I never use a hairdrier in the shower… an ancient superstition, I know, but still wise…
