Is there an internet business that is not a scam?

Asked by antimatter (4429points) March 3rd, 2009

I am looking for an extra income but all the business and work from home schemes
seems to be some form of a scam. You always
have to pay before they reliese any information and they always tell you that
you can make thousands. Is there something I can do on the internet to earn extra money?
can make money.

Yes. Mturk. I personally know a lot of people who make pretty good money from mturking. The website is owned by Amazon, so it is 100% legitimate.

@BonusQuestion

Can you translate “pretty good” into an hourly estimate or something like that? Last time I stopped by there it looked something like “read 20 sentences for USD 0.001 each”, or something like that.

Did I miss something? Once I saw those 0.001 things I didn’t bother to read on.

Yes. By pretty good I mean around $10 an hour in average. Of course when you first start mturking you won’t be able to earn that much. But if you have a good strategy you can earn as much as $20 per hour depending on the HITs you choose to do.

I will check it out, thanks.

antimatter. I suggest you do some digging in the mturk board and be patient. It takes some time till you get to know what HITs to do and which HITs to ignore.

True and good advise.

Here are some tips. A few of my friends have had pretty good success with West. One of them says she makes her entire living from there. she is disabled, and a stay at home Mom. She swears by this place.

I have been following, but have not used yet, the offer by “I Will Teach You To Be Rich”. One of the plus sides that has me considering giving it a try is his 60-days money back guarantee, no questions asked.

@BronxLens why not ask a question about those sites before investing money in them? Maybe some other jellies have actually done them or know someone who has.

You could try http://www.projectpayday.com. You won’t get rich quick but if you have the time to stick with it and do it daily you can turn out a decent extra income.
