What are the components of Earth’s makeup? How many are there? Wouldn’t it be the components nearest the surface (e.g., crust, lithosphere, asthenosphere)?

Keep in mind, I have no idea what I’m talking about.

the person who wrote that question should be taken out by the grammar police and shot.

what i think the question is asking is this: when crystalline rocks in the earth’s surface are eroded, in which three components of the earth’s makeup must the total mass of the eroded material be found?

and the answer is, i don’t know. but i would guess the lithosphere, the asthenosphere, and the ocean. but i often misunderstand the expected level of detail in this kind of question…

eek… i just realized how i phrased that: the person who wrote the question in the textbook should be shot. i do not think ezraglenn should be shot, or even shot at. i dearly hope i didn’t offend you, ezraglenn.
