Have you ever seen a ghost before?

This has been discussed many times before. I recommend reading through the archives if you’re interested.

I don’t believe in ghosts nor spirits. The more we study our brains the more we learn that they can be tricked and can distort or misinterpret regular sensory input. Richard Dawkins goes into detail about this, including giving a personal example, in his book The God Delusion.

I am surrounded by Hungry Ghosts

My father inherited his father’s farm. Recently a neighbor’s son told us that when his father was near death, he told him that he felt like he had one foot in this world and one in the next, like John (my grandfather). He said that shortly after John’s passing he was out plowing next to our land and suddenly saw John walking ahead of his tractor. John turned around and looked at him and then kept walking. He rubbed his eyes and John was gone.

Yes, one time I did. I was totally sober at the time, too. It was at night and I was still working and just came in from walking my dog. He walked right past my car like he’d followed us on our walk. My dog saw him too.

I don’t think I’ve seen or sensed a ghost since I was a child, but I certainly believe in them.

My favorite instance of seeing a ghost is a story about my fiance as a child. He used to have an “imaginary friend” who was an older man. After a few weeks of having this friend, his mom asked him what his friend looked like, etc. When he described the man, it was a dead ringer for her father who had passed away when she was 10 years old. My fiance told her that the man was always around watching him and telling him that he was proud. I honestly believe that this was her father checking in to see how his little girl’s life had turned out and to let her know that he loved her and was proud of her.

@LouisianaGirl What have you seen in your house? Is it an old house?

@loser yes its on an old grave site once we had to nail a door open because it would slam them all night. My brother had an imaginary friend too but it was a young boy named Chase from Germany.

Before what? Before drinking? neva. After drinking? Always.
