I don’t mind at all! Most of the people who frequent the chatroom are already on a first name basis (at least in the chatroom).

I’m Eric, so if you’d rather use that, it’s fine with me!

A few people know my real name. It’s exceedingly easy for people to find me in real life if I gave you just my first name as it’s very unqiue. So no, please don’t.

Those that know it can keep on keeping on in the chat room or while talking to me, but on Fluther proper…no thanks. And if you’re curious I might tell ya.

Feel free to call me As, Az, Mo, Asmo or whatever. :)
Or even smone like some people like to. :-P

Hmm, this is an interesting question! I feel very comfortable with sharing my first name with the regulars on this site. If I send a pm I usually sign my real first name. The reason I am reluctant to share it in a thread such as this is the lurkers who check the site regularly but don’t register or join in. There are some pretty personal things shared here that I’d just as soon not let them all know my real first name.

My name is Sara. I don’t mind being called by my real name, my screen name or a shortened version of my screen name. :)

as you might know, my real name is Camiel, i think of the 6 billion human shapes walking this earth, i am the only one with front last name combination, that makes me feel a bit unique :)

i agree with supermouse. i tell some people in comments, but not publicly. my name is fairly uncommon and if anyone i know ever found it, they could read my personal posts and answers, and you never know, if they were coworkers they could use it at work to embarass me.
