What activties would you do on your last day? What things would you say to those you love? What wouldn’t you hold back?

I would fly to Ohio and spend my last day with the man I love.
Phew. I’m so glad you told me this is fiction, I was worried for a second. ;)
uh… live for just 24 more hours? heh, just kidding.
It was John Wesley that was asked this question while he was tending his garden. His answer? “I would finish tending to my garden.”
In other words, he lived his life in such a fufilling way, and ready at any moment to leave this life and venture into the next, that a 24 hr. deadline (oops, was that a pun?) didn’t phase him in the least! I admire that attitude, and would hope I would respond similarly!
I’d love to spend my time quietly with my Lord, and also make a farewell message on my dvd camcorder to be played at my memorial, and kept by my family as a keep sake (I live over 2200 miles away from my entire family).
I would call every one of my friends together. Tell everyone that I have loved and appreciated every moment with them.
This question gets asked a lot. I spend a few minutes seriously considering it again every time. I don’t think I’ve ever decided on anything other than “take a nap.”
I would surround myself with family, relatives, and friends and talk about our lives, memories, and experiences right until the last minute of my life. And I’d make sure to get in as many hugs and kisses as I could all day long.
Learn to play the lute. Or maybe a harp.
Not this old question again!
@willbrawn; If I were, I would scold you for using your instead of you’re (you are). but since I am not, I won’t.
@gailcalled who is not here, do you find that it does any good to chastise people about spelling? I would never have the energy for such things, but if you can get folks to clean up their acts, I’d sure appreciate it.
@Daloon; No. I take random pot shots when I have the energy. I do wish that folks would use upper case when appropriate, as at the beginning of a sentence or to differentiate a movie, song, book, artist, author, actor, etc.
@gailcalled…So that was you I saw doing all those pot shots at Coyote Ugly’s over the weekend.
@Blondesjon: I wish…my ancient mother broke her wrist last week and we have had a series of medical nightmares.Yesterday she was moved to another rehab. I was there all day today, and will be doing the same tomorrow and M., Wed. and Fri.
My sis is w. her grandchildren and my bro-in-law has the flu. So I am it. I have to rattle cages daily. I wonder how the elderly with no family or advocates nearby manage.
@gail…It is very unfortunate that a lot of them don’t. Your mother is lucky to have a support system. By the way, I thought all you old codgers broke your hips.
My hips are just fine, thanks. Did 40 minutes on the treadmill earlier (while memorizing Finnish verbs, I might add.)
@Jon: Sisu jotta alusta , haluta.
:::Sits and wonders whether or not during my last 24 hours of life I will puzzle over what Gail and Blonde said to each other, presumably in Finnish:::
@TheKNYHT: Save your energy. I am not sure myself what we were talking about.
