Check out the Greek ideas of Eros and Agape. Easy to Google. I’m going to bed.

Good night, my chere Gail. :)
Being in love is actively desiring someone.
Loving someone is caring for their health and well-being, and caring about their opinions and their future.
You can love someone and be in love with them at the same time, but it is not necessary for you to be in love with someone if you love them.
You love your brother because you are willing to help him through thick and thin, and he will do the same for you. However, you are in love with someone when not only that but you also find them irresistibly sexy and your heart goes pitapat just thinking about them.
Or what TitsMcGhee said.
If you can love someone without being in love can you be in love with someone without loving them?
@mrswho – You betcha! That’s a big part of what stalking is all about.
I look at it as you can love someone like your brother, parents, close friend; but it doesn’t mean you want to have karnal knowledge with them.
But when you are in love, your brain has created a new sub-universe, and it is dancing in the joy of that person; it is similar to an addiction, like the first time you get high (on something) its wonderful and you want more of that joy.
When you fall in love for the first time, you’ll know the difference. Trust me on this one. ; )
Okay heres the difference “I love fluther” “I’m in love with my boyfriend” get it? I don’t want to “do” fluther”.
Okay sometimes i do but not all the time… get it?
