Maybe too much liquid or not enough gelatin? I dont know what the hell a trifle is anyway but I like jello.

It needs to remain refridgerated. Good luck!

it is in the fridge it hasnt been taken out the fridge :S this is the 1st time i have had this problem and have made jelly the same way all the time

Curious404's avatar

Ugh. It must be your gelatin to water ratio. Sorry!

sandystrachan's avatar

that would be a good explanation if i had changed the way i made the jelly but its the same as i always make it and it has really got me scratching my head as to why this time it has decided to do this

Did you put fresh pineapple in it, by any chance? Fresh pineapple contains an enzyme that will break down gelatin.

sandystrachan's avatar

never put pineapple with jelly for that very reason and pineapple isnt in trifle and there is also a new jelly that you can put such fruits as pineapple into.
the only fruit in it is peach and pear, swiss roll, the jelly and dream topping(cream)

wait, are you talking about jello or jelly??

Harp's avatar

@casheroo Our cousins across the Atlantic refer to gelatin as “jelly”
