Honeymoon Dec 09...New Zealand or Argentina...
We both love wilderness travel and will do that in either place for a good chunk of the time. We’d also like to have a little bit of a beach-time component. An up-side to New Zealand is neither of us have been there (she’s been to Argentina). It would also allow for a side-trip to do some scuba, which would be amazing. Upsides to Argentina are it’s probably more interesting culturally, the cities are cooler (?), and it’s a bit cheaper.

Come to Ecuador, cheaper, closer and you can have breakfast at the beach, lunch in the andes and dinner in the jungle ;) (I know, I’m promoting my country big time) If you have extra questions, contact me :)
and I forgot to mention the Galapagos for the scuba, take advantage of the bargains available now
I’ve been to both and hands down recommend New Zealand. The landscape is beautiful! The activities are endless. Argentina was a good time, but not unlike other places i’ve visited before. Great cultural experience in both places, but if you can stand the loooong flight, New Zealand would make a unforgettable honeymoon.
One tip… remember that our (US) seasons are reversed, so if you plan to go in our warmer months, it will be cold there and vice versa.
I fully recommend New Zealand. Of all my friends who have traveled the world, they all say, New Zealand. I would concur, though, I have never been, myself.
You will love exploring New Zealand together.
New Zealand is great for adventure and nature activities and the people are really friendly. Never have been to Argentina.
New Zealand sounds exciting!
If she’s already been to Argentina I say you guys go to New Zealand so that it can be a new experience for both of you. Either way, they both sound great.
Go where neither of you have been before so you can make fresh memories from lovey dovey scratch.
Holy crap Kevin! I’ve heard of finding out people were engaged from Facebook, but never Fluther!!!!!!!! Congrats!! Big hugs to you and Melissa ; ) I vote for NZ by the way just for the new memories reason. I have never been to either country but both are at the top of my list…...
