Can you lose lurve?

Asked by jtvoar16 (2176points) March 8th, 2009

I ask this, because, on my 25th birthday, I have decided to return to Fluther. I to a sabbatical from it for about 8 months. It was painful to say the very least.
Anyway, I could have swore, the last time I was logged in, I had 1500ish lurve, now, 1447.
I could be wrong but I was just wondering if it is possible to lose it, it being Lurve.

There once was a time when points were removed. They now limit you to a set number of points from a single user.

Welcome back.

No, you can not lose the lurve you have accumulated. There is no ‘negative lurve’ on Fluther.

Welcome back!

@chyna:
Thanks!
@augustlan:

We are so glad that you are back. Here’s some lurve for your question to show you.

lol, not to my knowledge, though I find answers and questions from time to time that I wish there was a negative lurve button!

yes… but only you. for every consecutive day you don’t log in, you lose half a point.

Despite what our lovely moderator augustlan says, I have seen lurve taken away. This was as a result of someone getting their hand caught in the cookie jar, however. That is, they were abusing the system by using another account of theirs to give themself lurve points.
In your case, it’s likely that you are just mistaken about the amount you once had. But just in case, I’ve given you three points.

Thanks AstroChuck! I asked this question because I remember about, what, two years, maybe a little less then that, ago, you used to get +2 lurve for every day you logged in cessation, and I think you got +8 (or +6) lurve for a “Great Question” and when they changed the values, some people lost lurve. I really don’t care all that much, but I know to some people on here (or as it was in the past) if you didn’t have x amount of lurve, your response wasn’t even worth looking at.
