I would have to see the whole sentence, but I think “nurturing” fits the idea you are describing.
Well, the sentence that got me thinking about this is:
“Therefore John Stuart Mill believes that adults should be free to pursue their own ‘experiments of living’ because it provides the appropriate heuristic environment in which diversity of individuals within a civilization can flourish, the society as a collective will prosper and thereby truth and goodness for mankind can be attained.”
it’s for an essay! It was really the entire idea of the above that i was trying to get to…it’s freedom from interference so that people can flourish really…I liked incubation, although not sure how i would make that work in the essay without being too risky… all food for thought though…
