Who is in your fave 5?

Asked by charliecompany34 (7813points) March 9th, 2009

you make a call on your cell phone. it is somebody you call ALL the time! your phone directory has a gazillion numbers and you’d just die if you lost your cell, but who do you need to get in touch with RIGHT NOW on a daily basis?

for me, it’s work, home, teenage son and wife, not necessarily in that order. oh, and my mother.

did you call your mother today?

what 5 numbers do you call the most? pizza joint one of ‘em?

@DrBill you did good. point is to see who you really care about on that cell phone.

Fave 5 is overrated and for pussies. Step your game up and get a metro. No minutes, unlimited text, so everyones my “fave 5”

It might sound like I date a lot, but they’re all sisters.

Currently…judging just by who I call/text the most I would say my mum, my sister, @fireinthepriory, my ex (who i’m still good friends with) and my best friend.

For me the quick-dials on your phone tell you a lot about who your friends are. My dad has a very strict system of priorities, which for him is also his priorities in life.

As you know, #1 cannot be used, so his list (which of course I had to set) is:

#2 his wife
#3 his eldest child (me)
#4 his second child (my sister)
#5 his son-in law (my sister’s husband)
#6 his brother-in law
#7 his sister-in-law
#8 his assistant
#9 his doctor

Even though my dad still has a brother, they live half a world apart so it’s too expensive to call him anyway. The priorities in his phone have to do with family, even though the numbers he calls mostly are #2 and #8, and perhaps me or my sister sometimes.

My phone has a similar priority. It’s always the same.

#2 my current gf (even after the first date)
#3 my most important business partner/boss/colleague (currently my mum)
#4–6 the people I hang out with most at the time (3 best friends)
#7 my dad
#8 my sister
#9 my best friend

numbers 4–6 are the one I generally dial most, even though #2 and #8 are always used a lot.

@jack79: funny, my wife is No. 2 on my cell phone too because voicemail is no. 1 by default. sometimes i refer to my wife as no. 2, even tho she is, well, no. 1
