Bathroom? Refridgerator?

Pockets? Did you drop them outside? Did you leave them in the door? (I’ve unfortunately done that before) Did you place them on a table when you got in? Purse? Other bags?

I’m gonna go with “off the face of the earth”, cause I’ve seen it happen before. When I worked at a fancy restaurant, my boss once loaned my her huge wad of keys so I could come in one day during off hours. It had not only every key for the restaurant, but all her house keys as well. I lost them, and they never turned up. POOF!, gone.

I always seem to put stuff in either the fridge or in cabinets. Have you been in the linen closet lately? Or maybe you needed a trash bag?

@AstroChuck I had a friend that did that. She was searching her pockets looking for her keys and actually put the keys in her other hand when seaching her other pocket.

You dropped them as you got out of the car and they bounced off your foot and under the car.

@Mr_M that was one of the first places I looked! That would soooo be something I would do and of course I did go straight to the bathroom when I walked in the house.

Usually, you always put me in the same pocket of your purse, but you were thinking about something else when you got home and you dropped my in your change purse or another odd section of your purse. (How should I know? It’s dark in here!)

As of this evening I have not found my keys. I went to the dealer this morning and bought a couple new keys. One is on my brand new key chain and the other is in my jewelry box in case this happens again.

Harp called it, my keys seem to have fallen off the face of the earth. I still look for them whenever I think of a brilliant spot they might be, but alas they are not in any of them. I would like to thank you all for your great suggestions and request a moment of silence for my dear, departed keys…

This question is over a year old and I still have not found those keys. The car is long gone now and the location of the keys remains a mystery. I am hoping I will find them when I pack up and move out of this house.

I often think of this question. I am secretly hoping one day you find them.

@AstroChuck mail them out and all is forgiven. But let this be a lesson to you, sometimes a joke can go too far and have serious consequences. @tinyfaery I think it would be really cool if one day they just turned up, I am still waiting and hoping. They were on a bitchin key chain.

Did you find them when you moved? I’ve been worried about those keys since KatawaGrey first told me about them, long before I joined Fluther!

@JilltheTooth I never did find those keys! I emptied the house and basement completely and there were no keys to be found anywhere!
