Not without a bit more information than that.
StellarAirman, I have a PowerBook G4 with OS X version 10.4.11.
I work a lot with photos and would like to use iLife ‘09 and Aperture for photo editing purposes. They both require a newer version.
Other than that, I’m pretty happy with what I have.
Because you need higher performance video than you have or can get with a MacBook.
Because you need a new portable Mac, and require FireWire.
Because you need an ExpressCard/34.
Because you need a computer faster than 2.4GHz.
If all you need is Leopard, that runs just fine on PowerPC Macs.
That would be a huge upgrade for you, I’d say it’s a good time to upgrade. You may be fine with just a MacBook though.
@nmguy, both iLife ‘09 and Aperture are capable of running on a 15 or 17-inch PowerBook G4 with a 1.25GHz or faster PowerPC G4.
Sounds like all you must do is upgrade to Leopard if you want to run iLife ‘09. As it turns out, Aperture can still run on Tiger.
Only if you feel the need to buy things to define who you are as a person. Or you are a musician and you need to use Logic.
