What's your favorite daydream?

You know the one—the sandy beach? the afternoon in bed with your honey?

What do you think about when you need a mental escape?

Mine is the memory of a smell, of a person.

Sometimes for no reason at all I drift away into a What Dreams May Come version of this scene. Just laying on soft fluffy grass with flowers and grasses swaying in the breeze. Add the smell of the ocean and you got it.

It usually pops up in the midst of other daydreams. But 90% of the time, they’re random and flowing, most never repeat.

My favorite daydream changes it’s location, but it’s always about traveling. In all my daydreams i’m escaping, heading off to someplace new and exotic.

I have several:
A) one were I just blow off the day and spend time with girl friend just hanging out in bed(not sexually)
B) I am floating in the sky and fly around then go to work and throw my shoe at my boss

My favorite one is the one where I suddenly don’t have to work anymore, and I have everything I need right here, right now. I can do as I want, when I want, and most of the time that involves lying back on a grassy hillside on a warm summer day with my sweetie, watching big fluffy clouds go by and pointing out which ones look like faces and stuff.

Winning the lottery, being able to move to New York so my husband can go to culinary school. Coming back to PA, and have him own his own restaurant. Have as many children as we want. Eventually I’d go to nursing school. (yes, if we won the lottery we’d still work.) Things would all work out.

All of my day dreams are of me traveling with people that I’m close to. Hiking miles to get the greatest view of the glowiest sunset you’ve ever seen. Swinging in a hammock, on a remote tropical island, complete with waterfall and pool. Visiting the pyramids in Egypt, inside and out – torch in one hand, the hand of a companion in the other… :)

They’re endless. And they take me anywhere and everywhere.

In my daydreams, I always end up somewhere that looks like this.

To be working in a studio overlooking the rough northern coast. To live in a lighthouse would be ideal. Yes- That would be heavenly.

Winning the lottery and what I would do if I did. Mind you, I’ve never played the lottery, which at this point I think is the biggest barrier between me and winning it…

It’s always this

@aprilsimnel: Sweet, mine is similar. :)

Wanna go on a road trip? ;)

aprilsimnel's avatar

@asmonet – Yay! Road trip! We’ll have to find this guy to come with us, though, and show us around. I think his name’s “David,” or something. Scottish guy. ;)

I daydream about past moments with my ex that were special to me, A LOT, Nothing crazy..Just laying in his bed, While he’d be playing warhammer on the computer, Waiting for him to come cuddle with me.. Or riding in the car with him, Watching the trees and cars pass, holding hands, Just the little things that meant the most.. (: Although its over, Its nice to be able to sort of relive those moments again…

I have quite a few daydreams. Most are adventurous because I am somewhat of an adrenaline junky. Sometimes it is also of spending time with my gf on a beach and those are really nice. I also daydream a lot about potential futures I could have to figure out what I want to do with my life.
