Do you think Fluther should have a "Not Great Answer" and/or a "Not Great Question" button?

For the Not Great Question issue, I feel like that’s what the Flag is for. But generally, no, I like the positivity of Fluther. I see no reason to introduce some extra special negativity by saying, “Oh man, you question/answer SUCKS” in a systemic way.
Never.
Where’s the lurve?
It would only create drama. If you thought you knew who unlurved you, you could unlurve them back, skewing the points which are just for fun anyway and would create mini wars and you could gang up on people. Just…no.
No. In this case, positive reinforcement is lovely, negative would hurt.
Maybe some variation of this.
i think there should be a veto button. fersher.
or maybe at least an easy button
Fluther ain’t broke. No need to fix it.
Nah… I don’t like the idea of negativity either.
No. Every time this question is asked, the answer is the same. No.
@JohnPowell: I totally forgot about that. Thanks for linking to it again! Is awesome.
I do however occasionally wish I could take back lurve, maybe limit it to one a week. Every now and then I accidentally lurve someone I really fucking wish I hadn’t. C’est la vie.
But even so, it would do more harm than good. So I’m still against it.
No, but I understand the passing impulse sometimes.
oooooppppsss!!!! i’m sorry, i should have been more specific. i don’t want to take away someone’s lurv! but just as a way to let someone know that the collective is not “feelin” your question. no negative lurv!
anyways, yes so far all great answers :)
Even so, it would also degrade the quality of the questions that are asked. As it is, you know bad things are removed, good things are lurved. You think about it, because there’s a certain level of respect most members try to show and like to receive. If you could just throw something out into the ether and get it judged, no big.
I think the emphasis on thought, respect and positivity is what keeps us damn interesting and fosters the environment we love so much.
See? Fluther handles the “Not so Great Question” issue right within each response.
I agree with most of the aforementioned responses to this question. Not only because they make perfect sense but because they’re all better answers than what I could have come up with.
No. I was on a board where you could take away “karma” it caused a lot of fighting. Fluther is just fine as it is.
No. That is what the ‘flag as’ button and the moderators are for.
If it doesn’t deserve lurve, it generally doesn’t get lurve.
You do too, but mine doesn’t count for you any more.
Mine doesn’t count for you anymore, ‘Mo. You’re just too smart. D:
